Jason Kellett: "At-Home" with New Experiences
Jason Kellett knows the importance of feeling "at-home." The son of a cabinet salesman, he was born in Ohio and his family moved around a lot in his younger years. "Oregon definitely feels like home to me," said Jason. When he graduated from Newberg High, he wanted to stay in Yamhill County. He welcomed the opportunity to work at Morris since it was close to home and he had experienced in commercial cleaning.
Jason appreciated that when he first joined the staff, he worked side by side with one of Morris' more senior employees. "It's part of the training process," he explained. "I rode along with a more experienced guy until I learned how everything worked." Jason also received training through the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration in keeping with Morris' philosophy of certifying all of their technicians.
In his free time, Jason enjoys cycling and playing video games, but he said he is always open to new experiences. "This summer, I'm hoping to try skydiving."
If you hear Kelly Johnson playing the blues on his guitar, it's not because he doesn't like his job. In fact he quickly names two advantages his position as a Morris carpet cleaning technician has over his former position of cabinet assembler. He has the opportunity to interact with people and he has a change of scenery every day. Johnson has undergone training and passed his carpet technician certification. "It was a lot of information," he said of the training, and he's glad Morris teamed him up with seasoned technicians while he gained experience.
The Yamhill County native grew up in Carlton. After a day of making people's carpets clean, he likes to make music. The blues and classic rock are the two genres that interest him the most. He even composes his own music and enjoys improvisation. It's what keeps this technician humming.
Billy MacFarland is a busy person. He works full-time to achieve the many things he enjoys. When not working Billy enjoys playing with all of his kids. They go swimming, play with legos, bicycle riding and visiting all the parks in Yamhill County.
Billy is certified as a Carpet Cleaning Technician and Area Rug Specialist. He worked for Morris Carpet Cleaning from 2004-2007,and returned in 2010. We enjoy having Billy back at Morris Carpet Cleaning.
